BANKE, Dec 3: The number of people dying of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Banke district rose to 39 after a 75-year-old man succumbed to the virus on Thursday.
The elderly man died of COVID-19 while undergoing treatment at Bheri Hospital on Thursday morning, according to Medical Superintendent of the Hospital Dr Prakash Thapa. He was a local resident of Kohalpur Municipality-2, Banke.

The man was admitted to the hospital 12 days ago after he developed coronavirus-like symptoms. With this, the coronavirus death toll in Banke has climbed to 39, officials said.
