JANAKPURDHAM, July 7: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Friday filed a case at the Special Court in Kathmandu against the Ward Chairman and the Secretary of Nagarain Municipality-2, Dhanusha, for taking bribes.
Spokesperson of the CIAA, Bhola Dahal, said that Ward Chairman Bulan Yadav and Ward Secretary Amrit Narayan Mishra were arrested along with the bribe money of Rs 70,000.
Corruption case filed against seven people
Spokesperson Dahal stated that Ward Chairman Yadav and Secretary Mishra, demanded a bribe from the service recipient for recommendation of the completion of road construction work.
According to the CIAA, a case has been filed against those who were caught with the bribe money, demanding imprisonment and fine for them in accordance with Subsection (1) of Section 3 of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 BS.
