KATHMANDU, May 11: Chief Minister of Province 2, Lal Babu Raut said that while the Madesh was part of Nepal, its residents continued to feel discriminated.
Raut expressed so after felicitating Modi at Barha Bigha, Janakpur.

"Despite the promulgation of the constitution, our needs are yet to be addressed. We will continue to struggle to guarantee our rights," Raut said adding that the southern plains of Nepal continued to lag behind in equality and accessibility.
Raut added that the province was willing to strengthen provincial ties with India to boost development. "Despite holding immense possibilities in agriculture, we lag behind. We hope to bring a greener revolution in Terai."
