Constitution promulgation at any cost, says Deuba

TOKYO (Japan) April 7: Former Prime Minister and Nepali Congress senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the constitution would be promulgated through the incumbent Constituent Assembly (CA) at any cost.

There is no alternative to constitution writing process from the CA though hurdles from various sectors have been created, leader Deuba said.


Deuba, who has arrived in Tokyo to attend a program organized by Nepali Jana Samparka Manch, said one and all should exert positive pressure on the political parties for constitution adding that timely statute would ensure economic development in the country.

Leader Deuba said differences in the demarcation and naming of the provinces could be decided by the people of the concerned region.

Saying that Nepali people are conscious enough in maintaining the peace and political stability, Deuba said.
