Cold wave claims two in Rautahat

RAUTAHAT, Jan 10: Two persons succumbed their lives due to cold wave in Rautahat Sunday evening.



The deceased are Ram Prabesh Shah, 30, of Pachrukhi-7 and Pardeshi Shah, 60, of Karkach Kamaiya.



According to Dr Rabindra Jha at Gaur Hospital, more than 50 patients, who have been suffering from cold, visit the hospital for treatment daily. The cold affects the elderly people and children the most, he said.



All government schools of the district and private schools at the headquarters have been closed due to the cold wave. Only a fewer activities have been seen at the main markets including Chandranigahapur, Garuda and Gaur, the district headquarters as to escape from the bone-chilling cold.
