KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has announced that clean banknotes for the upcoming Dashain festival will be available for exchange starting September 14.
According to the NRB’s Currency Management Department, the exchange service will continue until September 26 at its Thapathali office in Kathmandu, as well as provincial offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi.

In addition, class A, B, and C licensed banks and financial institutions will also provide the service to individuals and organizations during business hours.
This year, Ghatasthapana, marking the beginning of the Dashain festival, falls on September 22, while Fulpati is on September 29, and Bijaya Dashami on October 2.
