KATHMANDU, Feb 3: ChildSafeNet, in collaboration with TikTok, has partnered with 14 schools across seven districts to conduct digital safety training for students, teachers, and parents. According to a press release issued by the organizers, the initiative, covering Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, aims to equip young people with essential digital literacy skills.
As part of the program, 28 teachers, including headmasters, completed a three-day Training of Trainers (ToT) program. They will now lead digital safety sessions in Sunsari, Morang, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Tanahun, and Kaski, starting from February 2025, aligning with Safer Internet Day on February 11, the press release stated.

The ToT was conducted by ChildSafeNet President Anil Raghuvanshi, along with experts in child protection, cyber law, and psychology. Raghuvanshi emphasized the importance of equipping children with the knowledge and skills to navigate online risks safely.
ChildSafeNet has conducted digital safety training in over 40 districts, reinforcing its commitment to creating a safer online environment for Nepal’s youth, said the statement.
