Suresh K Karna, president of Computer Association Nepal (CAN), said quality of visitors was better this year as most of the visitors had certain requirements and they represented different sectors.
Exhibitors also termed the event successful, saying that they were able to interact with their potential clients and also introduce their new services. Umesh Raghubasni, CEO of InfoDevelopers, said the event was successful and that visitor turnout met their expectations. “We are hopeful that the event would be helpful in expanding our services,” he added.
Participants of the event showcased new applications for web and mobile, along with new web portals for online shopping, free advertisement and other purposes. Most of the exhibitors showcasing anti-virus solution provided special offers which attracted huge number of visitors. Likewise, mobile applications for Andrioid users like nLocate and Facebook Scheduler, among others also drew huge crowd.
Narayan Neupane, general secretary of CAN, said the event was a great success and that the association has met all its objectives. “Visitors have finally understood the difference between InfoTech and SofTech. They were no longer looking for gadgets like they used to do in previous editions,” Neupane said, adding that the objective of SofTech was to inform visitors rather than promoting sales.

At the sidelines of the SofTech, CAN also organized an interaction on Microfinance MIS Challenges and Opportunity and a workshop titled ´Challenges and Opportunities in ICT Investment´.
