CAN Info-Tech Dharan sees huge footfall

DHARAN, March 17: CAN Info-Tech Dharan which kicked off on Friday at exhibition centre of College Road has witnessed a huge turnout with the participation of IT students, parents as well as service holders.



President of Computer Association of Nepal, Sunsari and organizer of the event Dev Subba said, " Compared to last edition, participation of students is low while visitors from other sectors is higher." [break]



According to the organizer, around 35,000 visitors participated in the fair. "We are hopeful the number of visitors and transaction will increase," added he.







Suman Shrestha of CAN, Sunsari Chapter said that visitors were showing interest on Laptop, anti-virus, pendrive, printer, home security devices and others.



"Computer museum is also the other major attraction of the event," Shrestha said. The computer museum features traditional computers, one of which weighs around 80 kg and hard disk with diameter of 1.5 meter.



The four-day event targets a footfall of around 100,000 visitors and transactions over Rs 20 million.
