BUSINESS BRIEFS: Qatar Airways unveils special fare

KATHMANDU, Oct 10: Qatar Airways has unveiled special fare as part of its festive offer for the customers in Kathmandu. A press statement of the airlines said the fare is available for both one-way and round trop. The special fare for London starts from Rs 23,000. The return fare for this sector starts from Rs 41,300.



Similarly the return fare for Paris, Brussels, Zurich is priced at Rs 47,300, Rs 65,300 and Rs 74,000, respectively. [break]



The special fare is available for other destinations including Geneva, Milan, Berlin and New York. “All the special fares are exclusive of taxes with sales and travel validity until October 31,” the statement added.



HAS prez completes week-long Nepal visit



KATHMANDU: Anura Lokhuhetty, president of Hotel Association of Sri Lanka (HAS), has completed his weeklong Nepal visit. Lokhuhetty visited Nepal on the invitation of Hotel Association Nepal (HAN). According to a press release issued by HAN, Lokhuhetty, during his visit, travelled to important tourist destinations like Pokhara and Chitwan and interacted with hoteliers there.



“More than 70 percent of Sri Lankans are Buddhists and I believe they should visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, at least once in their life time,” the release quoted Lokhuhetty as saying during the interaction. HAN and Hotel Association of Sri Lanka has signed MoU to work together for promoting tourism in both countries during the half-yearly general body meeting of HAN held in Sri Lanka earlier this year.
