Buddha's statue built in Dhulikhel forest

BANEPA, Aug 22: In a bid to spread the message of peace, 800 members of Peace Forest have built a 26 feet tall Buddha´s statue at Gaukhureshwar Community Forest, Dhulikhel.



According to Bijaya Bajracharya, the founder president of Peace Forest, they have been planning to expand the number of peace forests to 108. Bajracharya had built a peace forest by demolishing his own home. They have also planned to build a peace forest in Thailand.
