Earlier, the NA’s Welfare Directorate had formed a 'Court of Inquiry Board' led by Major General Uttam Sapkota to probe financial irregularities within the Housing and Insurance Section during the Fiscal Years (FYs) 2021/22 and 2022/23.
Asked about Khadka’s detention, NA Spokesperson Brigadier General Gaurav KC said he was unaware about it. “I have no information on this matter,” he said.
The Inquiry Board led by Major General Sapkota has found that financial embezzlement took place through the collusion of Colonel Samir Gurung, Lance Corporal Tikaram Gotame, and Warrant Officer Rabindra Lungeli, who were assigned to the Housing and Insurance Section at the time.
Sources said Gurung has already traveled abroad.
