KATHMANDU, March 23: Bhagirath Sapkota has been unanimously elected as the president of the Federation of Nepalese Industries and Entrepreneurs (FENIE) during its third general convention held in Kathmandu.
The two-day convention, inaugurated by CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, also elected Subarna Shrestha as the open category vice president and Shobha Gurung as the women’s category vice president.

Bal Krishna Shivakoti was elected as the general secretary, while Dip Prasad Paudel secured the position of deputy general secretary. Secretaries include Gopal Khanal, Ram Raja Shrestha, Dolnath Khanal, and Saroj Yadav.
The federation also appointed Rajkumar Timilsina (Accounts Commission), Tanka Raut (Election Commission), and Balaram Bhattarai (Disciplinary Commission). Additionally, a 99-member central committee was unanimously formed.
Newly elected president Sapkota pledged to strengthen the federation as an umbrella organization representing small, medium, and large enterprises, emphasizing his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by business owners.
