B-Division League kicks off today

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Boys Union Club and Shree Kumari Club will kick-start the Martyr’s Memorial B-Division League in Lalitpur on Sunday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Boys Union Club and Shree Kumari Club will kick-start the Martyr’s Memorial B-Division League in Lalitpur on Sunday. 


Also, Shree Bhagawati Club and Bansbari Club will play each other later on the same day. 


The tournament, which will be played at the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) Complex in Satdobato, will see 12 teams play a total of 66 matches altogether.

The winner of the league will earn a cash prize of Rs 1.5 million, while the runner-up will bag Rs 1 million. Also, the third and fourth-placed teams will be rewarded with Rs 500,000 each. 


Likewise, the best player of the league will get Rs 25,000, while the winner of every game will receive Rs 20,000. In case of a draw, both the teams will get Rs 7,500 each. 


ANFA is also providing each team of the league with Rs 1 million each as part of their preparations. 


The tournament will run till April 5 and the winner of the league will get promoted to the A-Division League next season. 


Participating teams: Boys Union, Shree Bhagawati, Tushal Club, Khumaltar Youth Club, Nayabasti Youth Club, Jhamsikhel Youth Club, Ranipokhari Corner Team, Satdobato Youth Club, Madhyapur Youth Association, Pulchowk Sports Club, Bansbari, Shree Kumari.
