Shifting away from popular destinations, travel agencies are focusing on new destinations which include Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore. The cheapest package for Thailand is available at Rs 45,000.
Uday Raj Shrestha of Lalit Mandap Travels and Tours said although attraction for South-East Asian destinations is higher, European destinations are luring people in large numbers. “Destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore are comparatively cheap and visa is not a big issue,” he said and added that with growing awareness, attraction for other destinations is no less.
According to the officials, group travelers are more in number than individual travelers during the festival season, compared to other seasons.
Lalit Mandap is offering a number of packages for Singapore, Thailand, Malayasia, Hong Kong, European destinations and others. These packages range from Rs 68,000 to Rs 345,000.
