A team headed by Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Lal Bahadur Saud, on the support of Doti police have brought Chandra Bahadur Airi of Kanchanpur-5, Gulariya, posted at Bhairab Battalion of the Nepal Army, Doti, to Baitadi Thursday night in connection with preliminary investigation. Deputy Superintendent of Police of Baitadi district, Bishnu Bahadur Karki, said Chandra Bahadur was arrested after father of the deceased, Ram Bahadur Saud of Alital-8 in Dadeldhura, filed a petition against son-in-law saying his son-in-law murdered his wife after bringing her to Baitadi from Krishnapur of Kanchanpur.
Karki said investigation into the case is underway.Locals found the bodies of Dhansari Airi, 24, and four-year-old Saraswoti Airi, with burns at Siddheswor-9 in Baitadi on September 17.
The locals recovered the body of Dhansari half-burnt and only the head of her daughter at the incident-site.
