Army integration secretariat monitors ex-PLA's condition

RATNANAGAR, Chitwan, Nov 10: The secretariat under the Army Integration Special Committee reached the village of ex-combatants of the Maoist party and monitored their situation on Saturday.



The secretariat reached at Padampur of Chitwan said it would monitored how the former combatants were living, how they used the amounts provided after voluntary retirement and what plans they made.[break]



Section officer at the Secretariat Chiranjivi Bhandari, Bishwo Adhikari and others reached Padampur village where 90 former combatants are living in the fallow lands they bought after retirement. All of them were from the third division of the Shaktikhor.



According to section officer Bhandari, some of them have built houses while others were building and adding properties. Similarly, some of the families were dealing in lands and involved in trade and keeping shops.



One of the former combatants, Ram Chandra Mainali, said he has saved the properties for future income. He is running a grocery in the village. With the team, they urged the political leaders to forge political consensus and devote to development.
