ILAM, Feb 4: Departmental team APF and Jhapa XI will vie for the title of the Mai Valley Gold Cup as the former defeated arch rival Tribhuvan Army Club by 4-1 in the semifinal at Ilam football ground on Thursday.

The final between APF and Jhapa will be played on Saturday. Praveen Syangden, Niraj Shrestha, Shyam Shrestha and Top Bista scored a goal each for APF, while Padam Tamang scored a consolation goal for the defending champion Army. On Wednesday, Jhapa had defeated Rupandehi XI by 4-0 in the first semifinal.
