BANEPA, July 10: An anxiety-ridden cop in Kavrepalanchowk has shot himself in a fit of angst.
Jagat Baitha, a police constable at the police station at Shyampati in the district, shot at his right foot with the rifle he was carrying on Saturday, according to the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Nabindra Rai.
The 27-year-old cop, who hails from Parsa district, had been reportedly stressed due to issues in his family and is assumed to have shot himself to release the stress.
Critically injured constable is receiving treatment at Dhulikhel Hospital. RSS
