ANFA to honor men's and women's teams

KATHMANDU, April 6: The executive committee meeting of All Nepal Football Association on Wednesday decided to honor the players, coaches and team physiotherapist of the national football team for winning the Bangabandhu Gold Cup with cash prize of Rs 500,000.



Almost a similar amount will also be given to the players and coaches that claimed gold medal in the 12th South Asian Games.

Nepali national team won the Bangabandhu Gold Cup in Bangladesh some months ago while the Nepali U-23 team bagged gold in the SAG held in India in February.


Similarly, the ANFA has also decided to honor the Nepali national women's team players and coaches with Rs 100,000 for winning silver medal in the 12th SAG.


Meanwhile, the ANFA has decided to hold the U-16 Championship annually in memory of late acting president Lalit Krishna Shrestha from this year.
