All parties should stand together: Dahal

CHITWAN, March 8: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal  on Tuesday said that he will hold talks  with newly elected Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba  regarding the formation  of a national unity government.

Inaugurating ‘Sahid Smarak Pratikshyala’ at Amritnagar in Narayani Municipality-4 here in the district today, Dahal said that major political parties should be united for effective implementation of the constitution and post-quake reconstructions.

Dahal said that initiations would be taken through the meeting of the High Level Political Coordination Committee (HLPCC) to form the national consensus government accommodating all the political parties including NC, CPN-UML and UCPN (Maoist). Dahal is coordinator of the HLPCC.

“It is need of the hour for all political parties to stand together for national unity and prosperity and implementation of the constitution and post-quake reconstructions,” he said.

Chairman Dahal also said that necessary initiatives would be taken to blacktop Mangalpur-Megauli track, provide relief to the locals affected by wildlife menace from Chitwan National Park and stop erosion in the area. RSS
