KATHMANDU, Aug 3: Lal Bahadur Khatri, a 74-year-old resident of Madhuwan in Banganga Municipality-8, was found dead in a field approximately 200 meters south of his house on Sunday morning.
According to police, locals spotted the body around 7:30 am and immediately informed the Area Police Office in Pipara. Inspector Lokendra GC of the Pipara police said Khatri had been missing since 3 pm on Saturday. He was reportedly known to consume alcohol regularly.

Khatri lived with his wife, two sons (one of whom is abroad), and three daughters-in-law. His body has been sent to Pipara Hospital for postmortem. Police say an investigation is underway to determine the cause of death.
