The arrested have been identified as as Bishnu Amagain, 25, from Phujel-7 of Gorkha, Suman Lamichhane, 19, from Phujel-1 of Gorkha, Deepraj Regmi, 22, from Borlang-9 of Gorkha, Birman Gurung, 36, from Chaurpani-3 of Gorkha, Prithvi Chemjong, 37, from Kohabara-1, Jhapa, Bir Bahadur Khatri, 45, from Pathari-14 of Morang and Bhuwen Lama, 43, from Mahalaxmi Municipality-8 of Lalitpur District. Spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police Crime Division, Superintendent of Police Sahakul Bahadur Thapa, said, "Amagain, Lamichhane and Regmi brought the bird from Ashrang VDC of Gorkha District and the other four were trying to approach buyers for the bird."
