Around 20,000 students of various colleges in the capital are expected to participate in the exhibition. The main attraction would be the display of helicopter and voting machine prototypes, briquette made with locally available materials, solar lantern, and various other devices created by talented students.
“The main objective of the exhibition is to prepare our country's students for global competition,” said Dr Rajendra KC, the college's principal.
Vice-principal and the exhibition coordinator Hari Singh KC stressed that the country would not develop without advancement in science and technology. “We need to help students with their inventions. That is the main purpose of organizing the exhibition,” he said, adding that the government, too, should prioritize development in science and technology.
Minister Thapa said the exhibition is a great platform for students to showcase their talent. “I believe development and culture can go hand-in-hand. Educational institutes can spread this positive message and encourage their students,” he added.
