4,850 students appearing for SLC exams

BAJURA, March 18: A total of 4,850 students under regular and exempted criteria are appearing in the upcoming School Leaving Certificates (SLC) examinations from Bajura district. Fourteen exam centers have been fixed to conduct the exams, according to the District Education Office (DEO).

As many as 3,146 students from regular category and 1,704 exempted are appearing in the SLC exams from the district. The SLC exams this year are scheduled to start from March 31.

"Although we have kept the total numbers of exam centers same as that of last year, we revised their location to ease transportation and accommodation for students," said District Education Officer Nagendra Raj Regmi.

"Many students had problems of transportation and accommodation last year. As we have revised the location for exam centers, we hope to ease the students' problems as much as possible," he added.

According to the DEO, 321 students would be appearing for private SLC exams.

A total of 3,600 students had appeared for the SLC exams last year.
