According to the DPO, action has been initiated against the DPO´s policeman Rajeshwar Sardar of Rupnagar VDC-8 and two others -- Baleshwar Sardar, 23, and Raj Narayan Yadav, of Badaga-3 in the district on the charge of rape. [break]
DSP Shyam Singh Chaudhari informed that Baleshwar is a friend of policeman Sardar while Yadav is employee at Nepal Telecom, Saptari branch.
The DPO said its investigation has found that the girl, who had come to the Sagarmatha Zonal Police Office to see the temporary police exam results, was taken to the adjoining Nepal Telecom quarters and was raped by the three. The three were arrested on the basis of a complaint by the victim.
Man held for raping a minor
Meanwhile, police in the district have arrested Fuleshwar Sharma, 45, of Babhangamakatti VDC-3, on the charge of raping a minor girl in Rajbiraj.
Sharma had allegedly raped a 10-year-old girl at her home on October 11 when the girl´s parents were away. DSP Chaudahri informed that the girl is still undergoing treatment in Satpari.
