DHADING, Sept 12: Twenty four people have been injured in a passenger bus accident at Khatautikhola, Jogimara VDC-7, along Prithvi Highway here in the district, on Wednesday.
The Area Police Office, Gajuri, said the bus (Na 3 Kha 7881), heading to Kathmandu from Birtamod, fell some 50 meters down from the road at around 8 am. [break]
Police involved in rescue works said the mishap happened after the speeding bus lost control. All 24 injured have been undergoing treatment at Gajuri Community Hospital.
Of the injured, three are in critical condition. They are about to be taken to Kathmandu for further treatment. There were around 40 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident.
