BAITADI, July 4: As many as 17 houses were swept by a landslide triggered by incessant rain at Mallesh in Kedarsyun Rural Municipality in Bajhang district at 1:15 am on Saturday.
Huge human loss has been feared due to the landslide. Details about the loss are yet to be collected.

Although a rescue team including the police headed for the incident site, they are yet to reach there as the way is quite difficult due to the landslides falling from the hills.
Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ganesh Bam, the chief at the District Police Office, said that the police are trying to reach the site by clearing the landslide debris from the road.
Local market Gandaki of Kedarsyun-8 has been completely displaced due to the massive landslide, according to the locals.
