110 ropanis of land to be acquired for construction of substation in Humla

KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Efforts are underway to acquire 110 ropanis of land in Humla district for the construction of 400/132 KV substation at Sarkeghat rural municipality.


The National Transmission Grid Company has requested the District Administration Office, Humla, seeking cooperation to link the hydropower project to be built in Humla and Mugu districts to the national transmission line.

Chief Executive Officer at National Transmission Grid Company, Dr Netra Gyawali, informed that Sarkeghat substation was being established to link the 2,500MW electricity that will be generated from Humla Karnali and Mugu Karnali to the national transmission grid.


The construction of the substation would be a milestone for the hydropower development of Humla and Mugu districts, thereby accelerating developments. The transmission line runs 220 km from Dodhara of Kailali to Humla via Kalikot district.
