KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Two Nepali nationals have died and seven others have been hospitalized after a passenger bus caught fire in India’s Uttar Pradesh, according to officials.
The massive fire broke out just past midnight on Monday in Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh. The private bus — bearing registration number UP22AT 0245 — was traveling from the India–Nepal border town of Sunauli toward Delhi with 45 passengers on board.

Many passengers reportedly had Butwal listed as their address. According to the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, about seven injured Nepalis are currently receiving treatment in a hospital nearby the incident area.
Authorities say around 20 passengers who sustained minor injuries have already been discharged and have returned home.
