According to the Traffic Police Office, Pathalaiya, Bijay Gupta, 25, of Barauniya-3 of Bara district died on the spot when a truck with Indian number UP 78 BPT- 3148 heading towards Pathalaiya from Birgunj hit a motorcycle (Na 2 Pa 6538) at near Jitpur Bazaar of Bara district. [break]
Likewise, Prabesh Khetan, 19, of Adarshnagar of Birgunj died when a truck (Na 3 Kha 9353) en route to Hetauda from Pathaliya hit a motorcycle (Na 8 Pa 4106) coming from opposite direction at Amalekhagunj-8.
The pillion rider Khetan died while undergoing treatment at Hetauda Hospital, said police.
According to police, the motorcycle rider Bitchchhu Gupta, 19, of Bhawanipur of Bara district was also critically injured in the incident.
