KATHMANDU, Nov 16: Police arrested two individuals on Saturday afternoon from Mahottari for possessing about 150 kg of marijuana.
According to the District Police Office (DPO), police personnel stationed at Aurahi check post at Aurahi Municipality-1, Mahottari, arrested Akash Thakur, 27, of Lalbandi Municipality-11, of Sarlahi and Pema Dorje, 30, of Harion Municipality-2, during a routine inspection of their car.
While checking the car with Indian registration number UP 57 AF 9495 which was enroute to Aurahi from Gaushala, police personnel found 30 bags filled with cannabis which led to the arrest of driver Thakur and passenger Dorje.
The police are conducting necessary investigations into the incident.
