Anil Rajbahak wins zonal chess
KATHMANDU: Anil Rajbahak lifted the trophy of First Narayani Zonal Chess Tournament on Friday in Bara. Rajbahak defeated Surendra Waiba 2-1 in best of three final. Rajbahak bagged Rs 10,000 while Waiba received Rs7,000. Dhirab Rajthal finished in the third position and pursed Rs 4,000.
Associations ask NSC to expedite preparations
KATHMANDU: A meeting of different sports associations affiliated with the National Sports Council (NSC) on Friday requested the NSC to speed up the preparations of mission SAG and the Seventh National Games to be held in Eastern Region. The meeting participated by about two dozen associations also thanked NSC for successfully conducting the Sixth National Games despite various challenges and obstacles.
Meanwhile, the associations also vowed to work for successful hosting of the Junior National Games and Corporate Games to be organized by NSC in near future. Similarly, associations have also expressed support for the school and college centered training concept forwarded by NSC.
