RSP Chairman Lamichhane presented in Kaski District Court for fourth time

KATHMANDU, Nov 10: Police have presented former Deputy Prime Minister and Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane at the Kaski District Court for remand extension today as his extended 10-day detention period expired.

Lamichhane, the former managing director of Gorkha Media, was arrested by a team of the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) from his party office in Kathmandu on October 18 and subsequently brought to Pokhara. Lamichhane has been presented in the Kaski district court for the fourth time today.

Along with former managing director Lamichhane, former vice chairman and former DIG Chhabilal Joshi, the owner of Nature Herbs owner Ram Bahadur Khanal, a partner of fugitive GB Rai and Leela Pachai has been presented in the court today in connection with the embezzlement of funds of Pokhara-based Surya Darshan Cooperative.
