BIRATNAGAR, March 1: Nepali Congress leader Sujata Koirala said the present government should immediately "resign as the country and people have not accepted it".

The seven-point agreement signed between the Unified CPN (Maoist) and CPN-UML is "a fake and ploy", she said at a function organized in Morang on Tuesday.[break]

Since the previous government was also led by UML with Defence, Home, Communication and Finance portfolios under the party, it is unfortunate the present government is also led by the party, she said.

If all parties unite and forge a new seven-point agreement, all political problems will come to an end, said Koirala, who was Foreign Minister in Madhav Nepal-led government.

Koirala also said she doesn´t believe that the Maoist party will seize state power through a revolt.
