Although, media reports suggested that the NOC will start distribution from Friday quashing the lot system, petrol was not provided to private vehicles today.
NOC Spokesperson Mukunda Ghimire said petrol has been sent to fuel stations on Friday and will be distributed tomorrow.
“The petrol provided today will be distributed on Saturday,” he said, “From Sunday onward, fuel stations will provide fuel on the same day they get from NOC.”
According to NOC, two-wheelers will get five liters and four-wheelers will get 15 liters petrol respectively on Saturday and distribution will begin from 9 am.
