KATHMANDU, Aug 25: The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 11 construction firms for failing to complete projects as per contract agreements. The companies, including some working in joint ventures, will be barred from participating in public procurement for periods ranging from one to two years.
Among those penalized are Udaypur’s Bishal Home Construction Service, Kathmandu’s Jaleshwori Mahadev Wasabi Construction, Biratnagar’s Sagun Fabrics, Nepalgunj’s Shubha RS Builders (joint venture), Achham’s Naveen Construction Service, Surkhet’s JMC Construction, Kathmandu’s Kasyap Construction Service, Galaxy Construction, Jalpa Construction Service, Dolpa’s Mashta Bhawani Construction Service, and Arghakhanchi’s Shaheed Construction Service.
According to the notice, Mashta Bhawani Construction was blacklisted for 1.5 years based on the recommendation of Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality, Dolpa. Similarly, Kasyap Construction was barred for 2 years following a request from the Surkhet Road Division. The remaining companies face a one-year ban.
