JHAPA, April 13: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has laid the foundation stone of the Gauradaha City Hospital, Jhapa today. The foundation-laying ceremony was organized at Chautu Chowk, Ward No. 1 of the municipality.
On the occasion, PM Oli said that the proposed hospital could provide medical facilities to the local residents as well as the people of neighboring India.
Stating that the hospital's services could be expanded based on the need, he said the government was active to provide basic services in every sector through the use of information and technology.

The PM urged the youths to engage in professionalism and employment in the country as the government is in the campaign to develop the country through constructive work.
An agreement has been signed with J&J Construction Service to build the hospital structure on two bighas of land at a cost of Rs 125.97 million by January 28, 2027.
The plan to construct a 15-bed basic hospital at all local levels was announced in 2075 BS during the previous tenure of Prime Minister Oli, but the construction of the hospital building in Gauradaha could not start due to delay in land acquisition.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal and Chief Minister of Koshi Province Hikmat Kumar Karki were present on the occasion.
