KATHMANDU, July 22: Nepali Congress (NC) lawmaker Dr Minendra Rizal has said that the founder president of the NC, the late BP Koirala should be remembered by the country’s parliament.
MP Rizal, while seeking time in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, said today is BP Koirala Memorial Day and since Koirala was the leader of Nepal's first parliament, it should remember him.

He said that even when Koirala fought with the king or sought a way to reconcile with the king, he kept the Nepali people at the center. MP Rizal recalled that Koirala was working to make the Nepali people sovereign in the true sense.
Rizal said that contemporary leaders of BP Koirala, Suvarna Shamsher, Ganesh Man Singh, Surya Prasad Upadhyay, Krishna Prasad Bhattarai and other leaders should be held in high regard.
