Nowadays, transparency and accountability of INGOs has always been questioned.SWC has made a decision of bringing INGOs under the government banking system(NRB).But in my opinion this decision won't create transparency and accountabilityfor INGOs in Nepal.NRB may act as a hinderance between the INGO and service takers.

If we look at Governance and Economic Reform Immediate Action Plan 2069, under the clause 13(corruption and transparency)it is necessary for all INGOs working in Nepal to publish their budget, completed work, expenditure and human resource in an ittegrated manner. So, action regarding the transparency has already been made and is effectively working.Since they are INGOs their audit is of international standard are viewed in their website and update them periodicallyand any one concerned about the INGO can view it.I don't think that INGOs can preview fabricated audits as the are non-profit organization established for the welfare of the people.Yes, there are some who are there just to feed their elites bbut just because of few all cannot kept in the same category. Moreover, opting for NRB can turn out to be a great hinderance for the INGOs who are doing well on their work.It can prove to be a interference on their work due to which smooth running of those INGOs become difficult and their services less effective.

To sum up NRB may be hinderance for the INGOs who are doing their work and filters the INGOs that are there just to feed their elites.
