Newly-appointed minister Sherpa takes oath

KATHMANDU, May 22: In presence of President Dr Ram Baran Yadav Friday, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala administered the oath of office and secrecy to newly appointed Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Kripasur Sherpa at a function held at the Rastrapati Bhawan, Shital Niwas.

Vice President Parmanand Jha and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam were also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala appointed Sherpa, lawmaker from the CPN (UML), to his cabinet Friday itself. Sherpa was appointed to the post left vacant following the resignation by Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Deepak Chandra Amatya onThursday.
