Dahal argued that the government will collapse soon as Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has been proven unsuccessful during his first foreign trip.
Talking to reporters after landing at Biratnagar airport, Dahal argued that Minister for Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala´s refusal to accompany the prime minister to India meant that the visit has become unsuccessful.
"The government is just staging a drama," he said, "A new government would be formed under the leadership of the Maoists." The Maoist chairman also claimed that the government is not capable enough to write a new constitution and take the peace process to its logical end.
According to him, only a Maoist-led national unity government can establish lasting peace and bring change to the country. Dahal who returned to Nepal from a nine-day Europe tour also said he has started talks with other political parties for forming a new government. "I will hold talks with Nepali Congress president soon," he said.
Meanwhile, speaking at a function in Dharan, Sunsari, Dahal argued that the Maoists will come to power through a mass movement for establishing civilian supremacy in the country.
Senior Maoist leaders including Chairman Dahal, vice presidents Mohan Baidya, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayankaji Shrestha; General Secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa and Secretary C P Gajurel are in Dharan to train party cadres in the eastern region. Around 600 party cadres from Maoists´ Kochila, Limbuwan and Kirat state committees are taking part in the training.
