Madhesh receives heavy rain; Maheshpur in Rautahat records highest at 270 mm

KATHMANDU, OCT 4: A total of ten locations in Bagmati and Madhesh provinces have reached danger levels due to excessive rainfall as of late Sunday afternoon.



According to government records, the highest rainfall was recorded in Rautahat district. In the past 24 hours, Maheshpur in Rautahat received 270 millimeters of rain, while Gaur recorded 243.6 mm.

Parsa district followed, with Mudali receiving 231.8 mm and Birgunj 221.6 mm. In Bara district, Kalaiya recorded 210.6 mm, while Nijgadh had 157.8 mm, and Garuda in Rautahat received 191.8 mm.


Meteorologists have predicted further rainfall tonight.
