According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Karki, Kandel’s body was found in Ghumdikharka forest of Bhaluwajot VDC-7 in Ramechhap district.
Kandel was UCPN (Maoist) District Secretariat member and Area 7 In-charge.
According to RSS reports, Kandel committed suicide in a fit of rage after his girlfriend allegedly rejected his marriage proposal. Kandel had proposed Muna Khadgi for marriage on Sept 11. When Khadgi told Kandel that she was not ready for marriage the love-struck man consumed poison.
One dies as tractor veers off road
BIRATNAGAR, Sept 15: A man died after a tractor met with an accident in Bhojpur Wednesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Sanjeev Rai, 20, of Sekuwa, Khotang. Rai was a helper of the driver. The tractor (Ko 1 Ta 6877) that was ferrying empty gas cylinders veered off the road at Odane, Charambi-9. The tractor´s driver is at large.
