Literacy class in prison

DHADING, March 3: Literacy classes have been run for inmates at Dhading District Prison under the National Literacy Campaign.



Some 40 inmates including women who are illiterate are attending the literacy classes. [break]



There are 78 inmates in the district prison.



The Anti-Tuberculosis Association has provided the educational materials and books for the literacy classes.



Similarly, the Association has also provided a colour television set to the prison, said Krishna Kumar Shrestha of the Association.
