Investigation launched into Deuba family’s assets

The probe follows previous complaints filed with the Department of Money Laundering Investigation alleging that the Deuba family acquired property in an unnatural and illegal manner while in power. Recent investigations have collected details of approximately 73 ropani of land purchased under the names of Deuba’s relatives, including Jaiveer Deuba.

KATHMANDU, March 29: The government has moved forward with an investigation into the assets of former Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and his family.



Authorities intervened to halt the demolition of Deuba’s house, damaged during the Gen Z movement, amid concerns that vital evidence could be destroyed.
