India to continue economic aid to Nepal

NEW DELHI, Aug 20: India will continue economic aid to Nepal as usual, according to Indian Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.



After meeting with visiting Nepali Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal in Delhi Thursday morning, Mukherjee said India would extend aid to Nepal for the construction of postal highways in the Tarai, setting up of a police academy, and railways, among other things, according to our correspondent Bijaya Ghimire.



Mukherjee also said India would always assist Nepal to take the ongoing peace peace process to its logical end.
