According to Nepal Handicraft Association, the export of handicraft goods to the countries was increased by 11 per cent in the fiscal year 2067/2068 BS compared to the previous fiscal year.[break]
Nepal exported the handicraft goods worth around Rs. 3.01 billion in different countries in the last fiscal year. Handicraft trade to the countries was around 2.07 billion in the previous year.
The supply of the goods was increased by two fold to China in the last fiscal year compared to the fiscal year 2066/2067 BS and received Rs. 207.1 million. In the previous fiscal year the handicraft goods´ trade with China was only Rs. 92.8 million.
Similarly, the association supplied handicraft goods worth around Rs. 889.2 millions to America.
Likewise, Nepal supplied handicraft goods worth around Rs. 180 million to Tibet.
Nepal mainly supplied metal crafts, woolen clothes and paper arts to the countries.
However, the export of handicrafts good to Britain, France, Germany, Italy and some other countries was decreased.
