Gold, silver prices plunge in Nepali market

The FENEGOSIDA attributed the steep decline to ongoing fluctuations in the international market, which continue to impact local rates.

KATHMANDU, March 20: Gold and silver prices have tumbled sharply in Nepal today, sending ripples across the market.



The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA) reported that the price of hallmarked gold fell by Rs 7,800 per tola today, settling at Rs 294,500 per tola, down from Rs 302,300 on Thursday.

Silver also saw a drop, trading at Rs 4,895 per tola, down Rs 115 from Thursday’s Rs 5,010.
