KATHMANDU, June 12: The country at present is under the influence of upper-level western trough and local wind systems, resulting in generally cloudy conditions throughout the country today, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division.
The division stated that most of the hilly and Himalayan regions of Gandaki, Lumbini and Karnali provinces are generally cloudy at present, and the Tarai regions are partly cloudy.

Likewise, moderate rainfall is happening in some parts of Lumbini, and in one or two places of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at some places in the hilly and Himalayan regions in the country, and some parts of Koshi and Madhesh provinces.
The division added that one or two places in the Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces are likely to receive rainfall.
Later tonight, generally cloudy conditions are likely in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces as well as the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, while partly cloudy conditions are likely in the remaining Tarai regions.
There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning at a few places in Koshi and Madhesh provinces, as well as the hilly and Himalayan regions of the country, and at one or two places in the Tarai regions of Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, the weather service stated.
